The Sacramento River Cats will host auditions to determine who will be their 2010 Raley Field Public Address Announcer, team officials announced today. The PA Announcer, whose voice will be an iconic representation of the ballpark experience to the countless River Cats fans in the region, will take the microphone at all 72 River Cats home games and all home playoff games. |

When A's pitchers and catchers officially begin workouts today, myriad expectations will begin battle with realistic counterparts. Talent will try to reign over health and youth as Spring Training kicks off for a revamped Oakland team, which is trying to overcome a 75-87 record and last-place division finish in 2009. Many of the ballplayers battling for major league spots had strong years last season with the Sacramento River Cats, Oakland's Triple-A affiliate. |

The River Cats organization took part in All-Star first baseman Derrek Lee's charity bowling event January 30, helping raise money for the Cubs first baseman’s First Touch Foundation. All proceeds raised through the celebrity event, which took place at Strikes Bowling in Elk Grove, went toward St. John's Shelter for Women and Children, a charity that houses mothers and children in need. |

West Sacramento, Calif. – The Sacramento River Cats and Clear Channel Radio-Sacramento have announced a new, two-year broadcast agreement to make Talk 650 KSTE the exclusive broadcast home of all Sacramento River Cats games. The agreement, which includes the airing of all 144 River Cats’ regular season games and all Cats’ post-season action, was announced this morning on KSTE’s Armstrong and Getty Show. The “Voice of the River Cats,” Johnny Doskow, will return to the booth for his 10th season with the team. |

The Sacramento River Cats will hold a Job Fair at Raley Field to recruit event employees for the upcoming baseball season. The Job Fair will be held at Raley Field on February 13th from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Between the River Cats and Ovations Food Services, more than 200 positions are available at Raley Field. Walk-in applications will be accepted at the Job Fair -- all applicants must be at least 18 years of age. For more information, call the River Cats’ Job Hotline at (916) 376-4783. |
