Non-Profit Information and Sign-Up Sheet

Centerplate is pleased to provide non-profit organizations with an avenue to raise funds for their worthy causes.  Centerplate is the concessionaire for a many facilities including San Francisco’s Candlestick and AT&T Parks.  As we call Raley Field our home in West Sacramento, we would like to get local community organizations involved in our success!

Centerplate supplies your organization with the tools to be successful.  We provide you with the necessary training, the proper equipment and supplies, meals, supervision, free parking, bonuses and a percentage of the sales.

Eligibility

The policies below must be followed in order to comply with Internal Revenue regulations, Centerplate policies, Raley Field and the Sacramento River Cats rules, and other laws governing fund raising activities.

• The group certifies that it is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization as defined in section 501 of the Internal Revenue code.  The group must operate for civic, charitable, religious, or educational purposes.
• A copy of your federal ID or social security number must be furnished with the signed service group agreement.   This must be provided prior to your group’s first event with Centerplate.
• The group certifies that payments received will be used to support the groups activities and that no payments will be made to individuals for services rendered.
• All individuals must sign the service group waiver form to donate their service to the organization.
• The non-profit group is responsible for its own insurance requirements in all areas.  Any and all insurance coverage for group members is the sole responsibility of the group. If a group cannot supply coverage, then Centerplate will charge the group .5% of sales to cover this additional cost.

Groups can expect to earn from $300.00 to $600.00 in Stands C and G and from $500.00 to $1400.00 in Stands A, B and F.  (Based on weekend sales figures).  All groups will be recommended to conduct their first session on a weeknight for training purposes.

All groups are required to meet minimum staffing levels.  In order to provide our patrons with first class service, we need all of your great volunteers present! Please remember that all volunteers must be 18 years or older.  Centerplate will charge the group $50.00 per person for each staff member supplied by Centerplate to meet minimum staffing requirements.

Centerplate will provide one stand manager at no charge to your organization to ensure a successful event.

Groups will be charged for any post-event cleaning considered excessive at a rate of $100 per stand.

Commissions

Main Stands
8% of net food and beverage sales
1% quality incentives**

** Incentive based on the following:

• Balance cash to retail inventory within a 1% or less variance
• Uniform—All volunteers in uniform when event gates open and during game
• All positions staffed
• Volunteer list is provided to Centerplate at least 2 days before scheduled event.
• Arrive on time – Inventory and Cash Manager 1.5 hours before gates open - All other volunteers, at least 1 hour before gates open

Bonus Category - Earn even more for you organization!!

Season Commitment-Commit to 10 games or events            50% of bonus
Certify at least 8 people in Centerplate Orientation/Training  50% of bonus 
*Group must work entire 10 game or event commitment to be eligible for bonus

Bonus paid as follows… Main Stands (Only)     $300.00

Building Your Bonus Dollar$

Work more games/events, and earn even more for your bonus bank! For every additional game/event above your ten game/event commitment, you earn:
 
Main Stands (ONLY)     $30.00 per game/event 

For example, if your group works a total of 20 games/events in a Main Stand, your season bonus is $600.00! *
($300.00 base plus $300.00 for ten extra games/events)

*Group must comply with base bonus requirements as listed above.
**More bonus opportunities will be presented at orientation/training!

Training
Centerplate will supply training to all group members to ensure proper management of the concession locations. 

Orientation/Training Outline:

1. Customer Service
2. Inventory/Cash Procedures
3. Food Preparation and Food Safety
4. Alcohol Service
5. Hands-On Training in Stand Operation
   (Training commitment of 3-4 hours)

Moments of Truth:
Centerplate has a mystery shopper that goes throughout the stadium at every event.  You can earn a $20.00 cash award by completing the following steps:

1. Courteous greeting; “Hi. How may I help you?”
2. Suggestive Selling; “Would you like a soda with your hot dog”
3. Complete Transaction; Complete the order efficiently and politely.
4. Positive Closing; “Enjoy the game.”
5. Ability to provide proper stadium information

• Black shorts/pants (no carpris, skirts, jeans, cargos, etc)
• Plain white T-shirt or polo shirt (no tank tops or sleeveless shirts)
• Closed-toe and closed-heel, comfortable shoes (all white or black tennis shoes)
• Centerplate apron and visor (provided at check in)
• Handbags, purses, backpacks, etc, are not allowed inside the stadium. Limited lockers are provided to people who furnish their own locks, but it is recommended that bags are not brought at all.
